In Loving Memory of Edeltraut Weiß.

Peacocks, more accurately termed peafowls, are visually striking birds native to the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and the Congo basin. Renowned for their iridescent tail feathers that fan out in a glorious display, they hold significance in various cultures. For Indians, they symbolize grace; for ancient Mesopotamians, immortality; and for the Greeks, a creature associated with Hera, the queen of gods. Interestingly, it's the male that's called a "peacock," while the female is a "peahen," and their vibrant dance is often a courtship ritual.
Artistically interpreted in shape related/cross hatching technique.
